Badu, 50, took to Twitter to seek the Obama’s forgiveness after posting pictures and videos from the massive celebration.
“Mr. And Mrs. Obama, Please forgive me 4 being the ‘terrible guest’ at such a sacred event for your family,” Badu tweeted on August 12, 2021.
The unauthorized posts showed Obama and the former first lady, Michelle, dancing mask-free with their hundreds of guests.
“I was so inconsiderate, Thank you for all your love. What an example of ‘how NOT’ to be …… erica,” Badu continued.
The videos and pictures have since been deleted from her account but were not wiped from the internet for good.
